Subject:	2011 Statewide Recertification Clinics

Our 5th Annual Statewide Recertification Clinics are scheduled for July 31 & 
August 1.  All referees must recertify if they want to referee in 2011.  So, 
let's go ahead and get the training out of the way early with this fantastic 
opportunity to hear from one of America's best referees.

We are returning to North Alabama with Referee Recertification Clinics in 
Gadsden, Birmingham and Huntsville.  We will begin on Saturday, 7/31, with an 
early morning clinic in Gadsden (probably 8 AM start).  We will then move to 
Birmingham for a mid afternoon clinic that same day (probably a 2 PM start).  
On Sunday, 8/1, we will travel to Huntsville for a mid-day clinic (probably a 
12:30 PM start).

Our guest Instructor this year is Sandra Serafini.  Sandra was selected to the 
FIFA Referee Panel (Grade 1) in 2006.  As a matter of fact, she had JUST been 
named to the Panel the day before she arrived in Birmingham to instruct at our 
State Referee Clinic in January, 2006.  Sandra is also a USSF National 
Instructor and does a genuinely AWESOME job in the class room and on the field 
with the referees.  Anyone that misses this opportunity to improve their 
referee skills should be "sent off" for numerous reasons!!!

The final details on the exact times and locations for each clinic are still 
being finalized.  We will get the details to you as soon as we know them.  
Please go ahead and make your plans to attend one of these clinics.  I know 
its tough for the south Alabama referees to come north, but they need to take 
advantage of this opportunity.

Sandra is a tremendous role model for all, especially our female referees.  
So, ladies, please take advantage of this opportunity.

Finally, when Sandra isn't traveling the globe chasing soccer players around 
the pitch, here's her job title for what she does in her "spare" time:
